In partnership with IDSwest and Canada Place, AFH Vancouver is proud to present Re-Fab: Design For Sail — the creative reuse of the legacy sails fabric from Canada Place.
What once was iconic roofing comes to life as a new everyday object. Design For Sail challenges local designers to bring new considerations to this teflon-coated, waterproof, fire-rated, fabric material.
Curated design will be on display at IDSwest 2011 (September 29 – Oct 2).
Participants include:
3G1B
Buddhist Junk
Contexture Design
Designers at Large
Fieldwork
Vancouver Design Nerds
